The best ways to keep your body looking and feeling great on a budget!

No one ever said being a girl was easy or cheap, but we’ve found 10 simple ways to make the burden a little bit easier! Take a peak at our most favorite and inexpensive ways to keep it cute inside and out!

  1. Become best friends with water-

    50-60% of our body contains water. In order to keep the body functioning well you need to supply it with enough water to flush out the toxins you accumulate every day! 8 glasses of water or half a gallon is the MINIMUM amount of water you should consume in one day. Adding fresh fruit and herbs such as mint, strawberries, and oranges will not only enhance the flavor but, the nutrients you receive as well!

2. What goes in will show out-

Your skin and weight are a direct reflection of what you eat. So those late night burgers, and cup of ramen are not doing you any favors honey! Next time you’re craving a greasy slice of pizza opt out for a healthy snack such as almonds, apples, or carrots with humus. There are so many healthy and affordable snacks you can get at your local grocery store that will save you much more money that fast food. Remember to look for meals low in sugar, fat, and processed ingredients!

3. Castro oil let down my hair-

Did you know that applying a small amount of castor oil helps speed up the hair growing process?! Lost your edges to a risky hair do? Wax your eyebrows too thin? Sick of wearing fake eyelashes? Castro oil can bring all your hair growing needs back to life! You can purchase castor oil from any grocery store or beauty supply for a couple of dollars! Apply it every night before bed and within a few months you wont even recognize yourself!

4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

One of the main causes for skin aging is not enough moisture. Coconut oil is a great way to keep the skin glowing and moisturized especially during these cold dry winters! Create a nightly routine to make sure you skin is getting the nutrients its needs. You’ll be happy you did in 40 years when you still look 20!

5. Razor bumps go away!

It’s no secret. We all have them. However, there are a few ways to get rid of them! Placing a hot towel over the area you’re about to shave will release the hair follicles making it easier for your razor to pull them out. 7. Werk, werk, werk, for that body

You know we couldn’t leave this one out! Exercise not only keeps you in shape, but can also have positive effects towards your mood, productivity, and skin. You don’t even have to invest in a gym membership to get your exercise. Taking your dog on a morning run, or using a yoga app in the morning before work is a great way to stay in shape and save the bank!

8. C-c-c-cold showers

Cold showers aren’t just for athletes. They can be used to burn fat, boost recovery, increase alertness, and strengthen your immune system. About 10 minutes every week can do wonders for your body and attitude. Just think of a warm beach and it will be over in no time!

9. Condition over shampoo

An excessive amount of shampooing can actually wash away the good nutrients your hair provides for itself. Depending on the amount of sweat and dirt your hair accumulates, shampooing is only necessary amount 2 times a month. In between those shampoo’s opt out for a co-wash or just a deep conditioner. Conditioning your hair will provide the scalp with moister and added vitamins to keep your hair healthy and growing.
